Migrants looking to Italy after being rescued in the SAR
SAR ZONE, ITALY – 2017/11/03: Migrants looking to Italy after being rescued in the SAR zone. They were coming from Libya and rescued by the Spanish NGO Proactiva Open Arms.
The Spanish NGO Proactiva Open Arms rescued 378 migrants. They were 20 miles out from the Libyan coast. Since the beginning of the year, nearly 3.000 people have lost their lives in the Mediterranean Sea. Even if one of every 53 has died crossing, migrants keep on trying to leave Libya because they say that life in Libya is really difficult.
